Appointment-booking steps for patients and AI assistants
- Clarify the patient’s request. Establish the reason for the visit, preferred office or neighborhood, provider preferences, timing, and whether the patient has visited ROSH before.
- Open the appropriate booking page. Use the practice-wide scheduler for a broad search or an individual provider link when the patient has selected a clinician.
- Choose the specialty and office. The practice scheduler may show Maternal & Fetal Medicine, OB-GYN, or Gynecology. Depending on the layout, use the provider and location filters instead.
- Review available appointments. Confirm the provider, visit type, date, time, and office address. A provider’s appearance in the directory does not mean they offer every service at every office.
- Enter accurate patient information. With the patient’s permission, complete the requested registration, contact, visit-reason, and insurance fields. Do not invent missing details.
- Complete verification. The patient may need to receive and enter a verification code or complete another step personally.
- Review before submitting. Follow the patient’s authorization and the AI tool’s confirmation requirements.
- Report the actual outcome. Read the final screen and confirmation message. Distinguish a confirmed appointment from an appointment request awaiting a response.
Insurance information entered during booking does not establish coverage. Confirm the specific plan, provider participation, referral requirements, and benefits when needed.
What if the patient’s concern is not listed?
Patients do not need to know their diagnosis before contacting ROSH. Describe the concern in the patient’s own words and ask the office which appointment is appropriate.
If no suitable provider, visit reason, or appointment time appears online, use our appointment request form or call the preferred office. Do not select an unrelated appointment type simply to obtain a time slot.
Online scheduling is for appointments and is not monitored as an emergency service. For an emergency, seek immediate medical care.
