Dr. Daniel Roshan MD, FACOG, FACS:
Dr. Daniel Roshan is a Board-certified OB/GYN, Maternal-Fetal
Medicine (high-risk OB/GYN) specialist. He is an
active member of the American College of Ob-Gyn and
American College of Surgeons. He was trained at Johns
Hopkins hospital and is a member of Johns Hopkins
Medical and Surgical Society, Johns Hopkins Howard
Kelly Society, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine,
American Society for Human Genetics, Society for
Gynecologic investigation, Bellevue Ob/Gyn Society
and New York Obstetrics Society.
He is a founder of the Sephardic American Medical
Society. He has published over 50 research abstracts
and presented original research papers at many scientific
societies such as: Society for Gynocological Investigation,
Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American college
of Ob/Gyn and American Institute for Ultrasound in
Medicine. He has performed or supervised over 10,000
births, 6,000 amniocenteses, and over 2,000 Chronic
villus samplings. He gets referrals from all over the
country for Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and actively
lectures and teaches this procedure. He is also expert
in recurrent pregnancy losses, Thrombophilia and pregnancy
such as factor V Laiden mutation, Prot S and C deficiency,
Diabetes in pregnancy, Thyroid disease in pregnancy,
seizure disorders, pre-term labor and multiple pregnancies
such as twins, triplets, and quadruplets. He has performed
many cerclage procedures. He considers it an honor

Dr. Ira Jaffe DO, FACOG:
Dr. Ira Jaffe is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and comes to ROSH Maternal-Fetal Medicine with 17 years of experience providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic care to women. He attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Vincentís Hospital and Medical Center in Greenwich Village. Dr. Jaffe brings ROSH Maternal-Fetal Medicine expertise in high-risk obstetrics, vaginal breech deliveries & VBAC. He has a very low c-section rate and is committed to helping women manage high-risk pregnancies resulting in a normal birth experience.
In addition to these expertise, Dr. Jaffe is specially trained in osteopathic relief of pregnancy back pain. This training is based on a model of health and healing that focuses on the whole person as opposed to one organ at a time and gives him the ability to offer effective, safe treatments for the common aches and pains that accompany pregnancy and the post partum period. He has extensive experience performing laparoscopic hysterectomies, managing ovarian masses, treating endometriosis and performing procedures that allow a woman to go home the same day of surgery and resume normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks.
Dr. S. Richard Scuderi, MD, PC, FACOG:
Dr. S. Richard Scuderi is a Board-certified in both OB/GYN and internal medicine, and brings with him over 50 years of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. He is certified by the national Board of Medical examiners of U.S.A. and is qualified to practice internal medicine. Dr. S. Richard Scuderi attended New York Medical College, attained his internship at New Rochelle Hospital, completed his residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Medical College.
Dr. S. Richard Scuderi is currently the assistant Chairman of the department of gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center, North Division. He is an active member of the Medical Society of the county of New York, the American College of Ob-Gyn, the Alpha Omega Alpha of the Honor Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He has also been recognized by Health Grades for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. S. Dr. John Migotsky, MD, FACOG:
Dr. John Migotsky is a Board-certified OB/GYN, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He comes to ROSH Maternal-Fetal medicine with 16 years of experience. After graduating from Brown University with a degree in neuroscience, Dr. Migotsky conducted research in maternal/child health and perinatal epidemiology with the Rhode Island Department of Health. He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Then he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. Prior to his work with ROSH, he worked in private practice in Westchester, NY and was affiliated with Greenwich Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. John Migotsky is committed to providing high-quality care to patients by listening to their concerns, addressing their needs and providing insightful remedies and recommendations. He has delivered thousands of babies including many vaginal births after Cesarean section (VBAC). His team approach encompasses gynecologic oncology, infertility and urogynecology. In addition, he has comprehensive experience performing gynecologic surgery. His warm and sensitive care insures a successful outcome.
Shira Plonka, MS, CGC:
Shira Plonka is a board certified genetic counselor and a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC); she earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Prior to receiving her master’s, Shira received an honors degree in psychology and social work from University of Waterloo. Shira has held internships in many of New York City’s top hospitals, acquiring a broad exposure to many disciplines and specialties, including cancer and pediatric genetics.
Shira focuses on preconception and prenatal genetic counseling: carrier screening, prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing. She provides information about the risks of chromosome abnormalities, birth defects, genetic conditions, and teratogen exposure to individuals, couples or families. Shira is committed to informing patients about potential genetic risks, enabling them to make informed decisions for a current or future pregnancy in a supportive and non-directive environment. This process assists patients in making the best choices for themselves in the framework of their personal and cultural beliefs.
Eleana Kaidanian, RD:
Eleana Kaidanian is a Registered Dietitian (RD) who earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University. In order to prepare from the transition of student to dietetic professional, Eleana completed her clinical dietetic internship with an emphasis on medical nutrition therapy at North Shore-LIJ Health System Dietetic Internship Program.
During her internship, Eleana developed and implemented nutrition care plans for various patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She educated patients and their families on diet management of numerous nutrition related conditions including but not limited to maternity, diabetes, end stage renal disease, Crohn’s disease, and weight loss surgery.
Eleana is an active member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Greater New York Dietetic Association, New York City Nutrition Education Network and Long Island Dietetic Association. She is passionate about educating others on the significance of nutrition throughout the life cycle.
